GitLab Performance Improvement Updates
To address the recent performance issues that GitLab has experienced, it has been moved behind the web application firewall (WAF). Due to this change, you will notice that the URL for the application displays as www.gitlab.msu.edu for https connections, instead of gitlab.msu.edu as it has been. Traffic will automatically be redirected and this will not impact any existing connections. SSH connections will continue to use the gitlab.msu.edu URL.
If you experience any issues with an action being blocked that should be allowed, please report the issue using the Report an Error Encountered Due to the WAF form so that adjustments can be made.
